Over the period 7-9 November JIS will host the Learning in a Digital World conference to provide an expert forum for our community to engage in discussions and workshops about mainstream 21st century technology trends in education. We will have attendees from throughout the Asian region and beyond, and keynote speakers with current international school experience to lead discussions and share their knowledge.
In addition to workshops of general interest in the standard conference format, we will conduct discussions among all JIS stakeholders (teachers, administrators, students, parents) to contribute to the school wide technology strategic plan. The consultants will work with each division during the week following the conference to discuss and plan ways to get the most out of technology in our classrooms.
There will be presentations suitable for all levels of experience to learn about or share whathow you are doingwe incan/are wikisusing orwikis, blogs or other Web 2.0 interactive tools in yourour classroom.classrooms. Several of these will be conducted by members of our faculty. If you would like to be a presenter, contact John Wishart or Dianne Salminen as soon as possible.
